Not these guys… or was something wrong with the inspector the day he came out? Champia claims to have Errors and Omissions insurance on their website, which made me feel comfortable when i hired them..that they could back up their report—but thats a lie too.. This is my first home and my family and i put everything we had into its purchase…now thanks to Champia it’s become a nightmare. Its a sad day when companies like this are allowed to keep their doors open and hide behind the fine print in their contract to avoid taking responsibility for their negligence.
Vince was on time, very professional and provided reports on time. Champia inspector Paul Garland inspected a home that we had made an offer on. Soon after the inspection was completed, we received a very thorough report with a list of recommendations. THe inspector was there 20 minutes early which is always good. As a first time buyer it was important to me to know and understand what he was doing, and he explained everything and every step. He also explained how to maintain the property, what are the dos and donts, and overall a great job. The inspector was very professional and knowledgeable. However, there were a few areas that were missed that we later identified after we moved in.
Johnny Wahl explained everything and was not too alarming . He goes by the code and points out things that were not code when the house was built, but sometimes that can scare a client. The company was very professional on initial contact. They explained just what would occur and when. When the actual inspection, a pre-listing inspection, took place, I was not available, but they took care to tell my father what they were doing and finished in a very timely manner.
