Harry retired from General Motors and was a lifetime member of the VFW and had attended St. Luke Catholic Church in Ocean City. Harry was employed by Metro Government in various capacities for many years. He served Mayors Fulton, Boner, Bredesen and Purcell building and scaling job readiness programming that served young mothers who were tenants of MDHA. He remained there until his retirement in 1994, due to disability. He joined and was a fervent member of the local chapter of the Jaycees.

They loved playing golf together and with friends where they even had a chance to attend the Masters. He was an avid Cleveland Sports fan following the Browns, Cavaliers and Guardians. Harry loved the Browns with so much passion, that when they were moved to Baltimore, he became so bored on Sundays that he would attend bingo with his wife.

He married Jacqueline B Thomas in 1973 in Flushing, Michigan. He received his BA Degree from The College of William and Mary in 1965; and his MA Degree from Michigan State University in 1972. His career in management and leadership development spanned over forty years with General Motors, Deere & Company, and independent consulting.
He did two tours in Vietnam, received two Purple Hearts, and a Bronze Star which were great accomplishments of his. Harry taught marksmanship at Arrowhead Day Camp and was a para-educator at Radnor Township School District. He loved working with children, cooking, and Philly sports.
